Hi its Me Melissa from Facebook, I am not new to proboards I am a member at a few other proboards sites.Im 33 and I have been a fan of Days,OLTL,GH, and AMC for 20+ years. I work with Nursery school kids, I love writing stories, reading.I am training my dog Tootie to be a pet Therapy dog, when she's certified she gets a little jacket and we can go to Nursing homes and stuff. I am moving to Long Island Ny may 12th 2012.I currently live in Poughkeepsie Ny.
My first soap was Days the summer of 1989 I was at my grandparents house sleeping over for a few days {No pun intended on Days lol} and My grandmother turned the tv on in the kitchen at about 12:50 pm and made lunch.
As we were getting ready to eat Days started and she told me watch this its good and I have been hooked ever since and I haven't stopped watching My grandma wound up in a Nursing home in 2000 she was showing early stages of Dementia, was diabetic and had both legs amputated, we still watched together when I would go to visit. She even had days on when she totally lost it turned to me and said what are we watching I said grandma is Days of our lives you would watch all the time and you got me into it.
In 2004 she passed away but I never stopped not even than.I have the 30th anniversary Days books but the 45th is my favorite I love all the photos.I got into AMC,OLTL, and Gh a year or two after my grandma got me hooked into days.

I'm Edna 60 & have watched soaps since GL & SFT were 15 minutes long. I really got stuck on the ABC soaps when I saw Erika Slezak as Viki. I just fell in awe of her. Mom used to watch them too. Doesn't watch any now. She can't see well or hear good but I tell her about them. She is 89 young. I will watch tapes til they come back.

Reading this about the 15 min episodes reminds me of where we are now with the web series. Perhaps one day when we talk web series and they are longer we will be saying remember when Fumbling was only 7 mins per episode? Show that these series can in fact grow,

I am so excited to see what happens on GH today. I think about the show all the time. I have watched every soap since I stayed home from school with mono. I want OLTL back so much but who knows what will happen. We might get a wish of two. I do not want McBain to leave GH ever and I can't wait to see how they do this if they are at all. I want all my questions answered now and wish I didn't have to wait. Really like this website and it will now be my primary talking place since all my friends think I am nuts now.
