I've loved Army Wives (with hardly any criticism to offer) for the last 5 seasons, but this season I have countless criticisms! Anyone else not happy with the path the show is taking? I knew going into this season that it would be centered around Claudia Joy in some way; every season they focus on the development of 1-2 characters. It was CJ's turn this season; however, I don't like how they're bringing in a bunch of new characters, as if we're supposed to care for them, while Pamela, a beloved character, just walked away. Those new characters like Jackie and that other woman (don't remember her name) who hangs out with Roxy, take up way too much air time. CJ is utterly isolated from her friends (which I accept is part of the storyline this season), but I think I will have a fit if CJ isn't shown this Sunday (because last week she seemingly went to her parents to rest), because we've already lost 1 of the originals and are simultaneously being overwhelmed with newbies. ... Lastly, I really don't believe or like what is happening with Denise & Claudia Joy. What is this, Mean Girls? I know they seemingly made up 2 episodes ago, but I don't believe that's the end of it. They both seem kind of absent, like they're not really saying what they think; CJ especially. Denise, on the other hand, is totally out of character. Seriously, she'd side with Jackie over CJ? Even though the Army Wives didn't go their separate ways this season, as originally planned last seaosn, it's as if they might as well have. This season has been hard to watch.
